Horse Gifts for Horse Lovers of every age
Equine Promotions, Inc. was originally founded in 1999 with my first web site featuring Horse Classifieds. We are proud to say we laid the groundwork for future Horse Classifieds sites by including additional categories in our classifieds for horse-related merchandse and services such as Trailers, Saddles and Tack, and Equine Employment ads. You can view this website at http://www.equinepromotions.com It's still there, but has begun to change it's focus from Horse Classifieds to being a Horse Portal.
From that very small beginning, the company has branched out into many websites, including this one. Early on, I decided to move into offering Horse Merchandise for retail sale also. Since my location isn't really big, I decided to go into Horse Gifts (heck, they are prettier than tack anyway!) and Horse-Gifts.com was born! With a lot of help from my friends, I've managed to accumulate a selection of merchandise I am VERY proud to offer.
I don't have an extensive background in horses, but I have always loved them. I am one of those lucky ladies who was able to fulfill a life-long dream and finally learn to ride and own a horse at middle-age. I so enjoy talking with customers about our horses, so please feel free to call me at 800-680-2778! I wish I could talk personally with each and every one of you.
I am also the lucky "owner" of a 16yo Walking Horse/Quarter Horse cross gelding named "Joker" (and he is aptly named, as he is full of tricks). He is chestnut, and stands about 15.3hh. He is absolutely forgiving and takes good care of me. Pictures to come!
Joker enjoys living on 20+ acres with his barn buddies Whiskey, Monkey, Cindy, Hawk, Campy and many others. His favorite pastime is loafing and "schmoozing" with any human unfortunate enough to show up at the barn. While he isn't pushy, you can be sure he will be checking you out for food and scratches! I would swear he likes people more than he likes other horses. I would also swear he has just about the smoothest canter you can find on a horse.
We are lucky enough to live in some of the most beautiful countryside, with National and State parks only a few minute's trailer ride away. We frequently ride the Manassas Battlefield Park, the Shenandoah National Park, the Andy Guest Virginia State Park, and the National Forest. Our ideal location here between the Blue Ridge and the Massanutten Mountains of Virginia affords us almost unlimited trail riding. The worst part is simply trying to decide where to ride!
My own personal goals for my riding program include learning to jump, an area I am really deficient in. Many times on a trail there are small obstacles to maneuver over, and I am the one who gets off and goes around or steps over. Heck, without a goal, we just grow stagnant. I hope to add Jumping lessons in the near future, if I can find the time and the money.
I want to personally thank all the wonderful customers we have had over the years, and welcome any new ones! I wish you the best with your own personal goals, and I hope that you too may be enjoying having horses in your life. I have found that horses have truly enriched my life, and have changed me personally in many ways.
