About the Artist Chris Cummings:
Growing up on an acreage bordering the Santa Cruz Mountains in California, artist Chris Cummings was surrounded with beautiful horses, bountiful wildlife and exquisite scenery. Compelled to offer an outward expression of her relationship with nature, Chris recorded her adventures in drawings and paintings.
Chris’ life has truly revolved around the subjects she paints. Her upbringing, her educational and career choices and her life on the 100-acre farm she runs with her husband have provided and continue to supply invaluable reference material and inspiration for her paintings. In addition to the subjects she can see in her mind’s eye and out her studio window, Chris can turn to her extensive library and photo collection.
